Dr Sandra Samuels has been Director of the RU Health Service-Newark since 1980, and is most proud to have hired a diverse and compassionate staff of highest quality professionals, as evidenced by our recent re-accreditation by the Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Care(AAAHC) centers. Dr Samuels is very interested in college health. She remains intrigued by our Newark students, and loves to take care of their health, including medical, psychological and gynecological needs. College years are the period of important developments in students' lives, and the time to discover themselves and take control over their future paths. Also most rewarding is her class in "Health & Social Justice" for Rutgers-Newark students - an undergraduate writing intensive 3 credit class within the Psychology department.
Dr Samuels received her medical education at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, completed her residency in Pediatrics at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn,NY, and at Children's Hospital of Newark, in Newark, NJ, and she is Board Certified in Pediatrics.
