About Student Health Advocates

WELCOME to Student Health Advocates or SHA!

Student Health AdvocatesOur SHA Mission is to improve and maintain the health of the RU-N campus and surrounding communities by educating and promoting discussion about all health & social justice issues through fun, interactive exhibits and activities.

All SHA receive training on leadership, exhibit creation, program development, facilitation, and health and social justice topics such as racism, sex, alcohol & other drugs, homophobia, mental health issues, and many more.

The trainings are 3 hours/week lasting the entire semester.

All SHA either receives 1 CASE credit, 3 Internship/Independent Study credits, or a stipend at the end of each semester.
