Student Health Advocates (SHA) serve the mission of HPD by educating and promoting discussion about all issues in students’ lives through fun, interactive exhibits and activities. Each exhibit/activity serves as a catalyst to heighten awareness and share resources as well as information with audience members.
All SHA receive training on leadership, exhibit creation, program development, facilitation, and health and social justice topics such as racism, sex, alcohol & other drugs, homophobia, mental health issues, sexual assault, and many more.
Our trainings usually run every Monday night for 3 hours throughout the semester.
All SHA either receives 1 CASE credit, 3 Internship/Independent Study credits, or a stipend at the end of each semester.
