Through creative and interactive theatre, UNITY engages the audience by provoking dialogue which deals with issues in student lives thus accomplishing the mission of HPD. Each scene serves as a catalyst to heighten awareness and share resources as well as information with audience members. The UNITY cast receives training on leadership, theatre skills (acting & improvisation) facilitation, and health and social justice topics such as racism, sex, alcohol & other drugs, homophobia, mental health issues, and many more. Our trainings usually run every Friday night for 4 hours throughout the semester. All UNITY either receives 1 CASE credit, 3 Internship/Independent Study credits, or a stipend at the end of each semester.
