CAN I GET HELP IF THE SEXUAL ASSAULT OCCURRED IN THE PAST?

We are here to help you whether the incident occurred ten minutes ago or ten years ago.

  • If the assault occurred more than five days ago, or if you plan to decline reporting the incident to the police, and/or having an exam or evidence collected, please call the HELP line (973-353-HELP) and get some information.  You should not have to handle this situation alone.
  • Many survivors are affected by the assault for the rest of their lives.  It can affect the way they feel about themselves, their ability to develop relationships, their happiness, and success.  No support service can erase the past, but we can help you find the strength to deal with it and move forward.
